Community Support Services Program
The Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO) offers the Community Support Services Program (CSS), funded by the Province of Ontario, to help individuals remain safely in their homes for as long as possible.
The program provides information, advocacy, practical support, and community connections for people who may be elderly, chronically ill, isolated, or managing long-term health concerns. It also helps ease the responsibilities carried by caregivers and extended family members.
Services may include referrals to community programs such as Meals on Wheels, Adult Day Programs, Nursing Services, and Home Care support.
Why Volunteers Matter
Volunteers play an important role in helping our communities stay strong. One of the greatest needs within the CSS Program is volunteer drivers who help community members attend medical appointments and access important services.
Volunteers also help reduce isolation by supporting friendly visits, phone check-ins, and community wellness initiatives that create stronger, healthier Métis communities across Region 5.
