Provincial Secretary for Education, Mitch Case together with senior leadership from MNO met recently with The Hon. Paul Calandra, Minister of Education and his team. We appreciated the government of Ontario renewing the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC), and the discussion on professional development for Metis child care workers. We were pleased to leave Minister Calandra with the MNO report, Credentialing with Purpose: A Pathway to Inclusive and Equitable Qualification Standards for Ontario’s Early Childhood Educators (Jan 2026). We look forward to future discussions and collaboration between the MNO and the Ministry of Education as we work on shared priorities.
