As part of Governor General Louise Arbour’s meetings with Ontario leaders and community representatives, MNO President Margaret Froh met with Her Excellency in Toronto earlier this week.

Before becoming Governor General, Arbour served as a Justice of the Supreme Court of Canada and was among the judges who issued the unanimous decision in R. v. Powley, a landmark ruling that affirmed Métis rights under section 35 of the Constitution.
